My Favorite Cartoon Character

Reason for Assignment: You will need to review all of the basics of PowerPoint so that you will be able to create engaging presentations and animations for your future classes and careers. 

Assignment: This assignment has been designed to help you review different aspects of PowerPoint so that you will remember how to create them for future computer projects.


 

Step 1:  Open up the PowerPoint Program.

Step 2: Pick a design for your slides.  Click on the Design Tab.

Step 3: In the big box on your slide type in “My Favorite Cartoon Character”

In the smaller box, add your name.

Step 4: In the Home tab, click “New Slide”. Type in the name of your cartoon character into the title section of your slide.

Step 6: In the lower section of your slide type at least 20 words as to why this is your favorite character.

Step 7: In the Home tab, click “New Slide”.  Go to Google and copy and paste an image of your cartoon character into slide number 3. ( You need to make sure your image is not too big.)

Step 8: Next, click on your cartoon character and then click on the Animation Tab at the top of your ribbon.  Now click on “Add Animation” and go to the very bottom of the drop down list. 

 

Select “Custom Path” from the bottom of the list.  Using your mouse, draw a path for your character.  You can test it by clicking on "Preview".

Step 9: Add transitions to your PowerPoint.  Click on each slide on the left and then click on the Transitions Tab and add a transition of your choice to each slide.

Finishing: Save your PowerPoint into the (Z:) Common Drive --> 10th Grade --> PowerPoint1 file and make sure your name is on the file.
